Yorkshire Beard Day 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yorkshire Beard Day 2024 will take place on Saturday 9th March 2024 in Spa Suncourt, Scarborough Spa, Southbay, Scarborough, YO112HD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are therefore cordially invited to join us at the above location on Saturday 9th March 2024 for a folically fun, familly friendly fun raising event featuring Beards, Beer, Beard competitions, Bearded Bands, Beard Art and all manner of Bearded merchandise including the ever popular knitted beard stall. All profits going to charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual fun and friendly beard competition run by members of The British Beard Club<\/a> will take place between 2pm and 7pm on the day. You will need to have registered your beard in person at the beard competition reception table by 3:30pm on the day of competition to be able to compete. Entry Fee is by charitable monetary donation. All monies raised go to charity. Raising funds for and awareness of Prostate Cancer.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I don\u2019t have a Beard!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s ok! you can always get in the spirit of the day by making a homemade false beard and bringing it with you or Buy one of the amazing knitted beards on the knitted beard stall or join in with others getting crafty at the Beard Making and Beard drawing\/painting table. Which is great fun for children and beardless men and women \ud83d\ude09 And yes there is a Category called \u201cFalse Beard Freestyle\u201d for you to enter your beard in \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be Beard portrait photographers in the venue with their cameras eager to capture your beard in all its magnificence!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dress to impress!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your beard will be judged with beards that will be similar to your own, sometimes the difference between two closely competing beards is how well yours is presented\u2026 a quick internet search of other beard competitions may help inspire you with your \u2018look\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 15 different beard style categories to choose from including Styled stubble, Moustache, Goatee, Musketeer, Sideburns\/mutton chops, Sea Captains\u2019s Chin Warmer, Business Beard(short beard), King Edward VII, Verdi, Badger Beard, Garibaldi, Full Beard Natural, Full Beard Styled with Moustache, Full Beard Freestyle, Partial Beard Freestyle, False Beard Freestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each Beard Style category will be paraded in front of the public and have a winner chosen by the Beard Judging panel, then the Beard Style Category winners go through to compete for the accolade of \u201cYorkshire Beard of the Year 2024\u201d an element of which is decided by public vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secret spotter prizes will also be awarded throughout the day\u2026 could you be the slug balancing champion?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the awards and the bragging rites have been handed out the celebrations will continue late into the night with \u201cCardboard Sideburns\u201d an eclectic electro clicks beeps and beats night for the bearded\u2026get your sparkle on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone who enters the Beard Competition will have their beard photographed and their image placed on the \u201cBeard Gallery Wall of the Hirsute\u201d so the public can discuss and pick their favourites before, during and after the Official Judging of the Beard competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 is the 10th time we have gathered and celebrated Yorkshire Beard Day the first one being \u201cBeards, Beer and Louis Barabas & the Bedlam Six\u201d in 2012. This year is the first Yorkshire Beard Day gathering since 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
